School Outreach Activities
Lancaster University Physics Department is keen to develop partnerships with schools by working alongside teachers to inspire and enthuse school students to improve their exam performance and consider continuing to study Physics to a higher level.

Feedback for Schools Events
Last year (2010 to 2011) we organised 40 events involving 626 students from 20 schools and colleges.
- Over 60% found our day events "very interesting"
- 91% rated their day with us as 4/5 or 5/5
Schools Contact
Phil Furneaux has been an A-level teacher for nearly 30 years. He has recently retired from William Howard School, Brampton, Cumbria. He is an examiner for OCR. He works at the Lancaster Physics Department as the School Outreach Officer sponsored by the Ogden Trust. His experience helps to provide activities that suit the needs of examination boards and individual students. He has recently been appointed as an IOP Physics Network Coordinator.
