I received my bachelor and master's degree in Bioengineering at the University of Padua (Italy) respectively in 2010 and 2012. I have recently been working at a research hospital for children with disabilities since I graduated, where I had the opportunity to appreciate how crucial the research is to them, to their families, and to their quality of life. During my studies I became more and more passionate about biomedical signals analysis. Biomedical signals can look obscure to the eye, but it is amazing how much information hides behind every fluctuation. I find it fascinating trying to extract such information by means of mathematical tools: it is like decrypting tiny portions of the secret code that governs the human body! I am very proud to be part of the Nonlinear Biomedical Physics group. They are giving me the opportunity to focus on the development of autistic brains within children, by the analysis of electroencephalographic tracks and the detection of coupling between different parts of the brain.
