Where Physics meets life!

At work in the Biomedical Physics Lab

Welcome to the Nonlinear Biomedical Physics group here at Lancaster University. We are part of the Lancaster University Department of Physics. REF2014 ranked us 2nd in the UK for the number of research outputs judged to be of internationally leading (4 star) quality, with 28% of our publications in this top bracket.

Living systems are incredibly complex and so we use nonlinear physics and mathematics to explain the complexity.

Understanding the nonlinear behaviour of biological systems has the potential to impact many areas of medicine.
