Ionic Coulomb blockade

The ionic Coulomb blockade (ICB) [Wiki] is a phenomenon implying a drastic decrease of current through a channel at specific value of selectifity filter's charge. Being the ionic counterpart of the electronic Coulomb blockade observed for quantum dots, ICB appears in narrow channels with small electric capacity (watch the YouTube video).
