The PROMIS network consists of a consortium of 11 full partners and 13 associated partners from across Europe, including 11 academic institutions and 8 industry members. Each of the full partners hosts early stage researchers (ESRs) as network fellows, while the associated partners either take network fellows on secondment visits, or provide training courses for them.

The consortium has been carefully chosen to provide world-class training in the full range of skills needed by the new generation of photonics researchers, as well as providing industry experience for each of the network fellows. The PROMIS network constitutes a strong and well-motivated training infrastructure, covering the full range of core skills required for photonics materials research, and indeed for the corresponding semiconductor devices area.
