Research Interests
Research
My research efforts are within the ATLAS collaboration at CERN using the LHCcollider. In 2004-2008 I coordinated the ATLAS group devoted to a research of Beauty physics. The group of 45 participants from 14 ATLAS institutes in Europe, USA, Japan and Israel is preparing for a wide range of measurements for both the initial and advanced phases of the LHC. In the initial period we will concentrate on beauty, charm and Quarkonia (J/Psi and Upsilon) production cross sections to provide tests of QCD and physics of B-hadrons measuring lifetimes, masses and polarizations. With increasing luminosity we plan high precision measurements of mixing and CP violation in B decays and the investigation of a wide class of so called rare B-decays for testing signatures of new Physics. Since 2009 I continue working in B-physics as a coordinator of the sub-group, dedicated to B-decays with Jpsi in final state.
Servise tasks
I serve as ATLAS Documentation coordinator. Since 1998 I am representing Lancaster in ATLAS Trigger Institutes board.
Organization
Over last years I was or am chairing, being a member of organizing committees or a section convener of following conferences and workshops: BEACH2006 Lancaster 2-8.July 2006; BEAUTY 2009 Heidelberg (Germany), 7-11th September, 2009; Flavour in the Era of LHC’, CERN, 2005-2007; HERA-LHC workshop 2004-2005; UK B-physics HEPP IOP half day, November 2008.
