Research Interests

Areas of interest are the structural, electrical and optical properties of organic semiconductors (particularly phthalocyanines) with reference to their application in thin-film gas sensors. This research involves the use of a wide variety of complemaentary experimental techniques including scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Rutherford backscattering ion beam diagnostics, FTIR absorption spectroscopy, differential scanning calorimetry and X-ray analysis.
