Single-molecule quantum electronics - Single-molecule devices offer the opportunity to study a rich variety of quantum phenomena, and could potentially have applications in electronics or energy harvesting. I will present recent experimental results on single-molecule transistors where molecules are contacted using graphene nano-electrodes. The stability and reproducibility of this anchoring approach enables the investigation of quantum behaviour, including Franck-Condon physics and molecular magnetism, down to the level of an individual molecule.
